A 2012 refurbishment to Rhapsody of the Seas resulted in a variety of onboard enhancements. Among them were new and updated staterooms, the addition of many restaurants that were previously only available aboard their Oasis class ships (including Park Café, Chef's Table, Chops Grille, Giovanni's Table, and Izumi), a (poolside) outdoor movie screen, as well as a Concierge Club and Diamond Lounge.
There is a variety of fantastic entertainment venues and things to do on a Rhapsody of the Seas cruise. For instance, Broadway Melodies Theatre is a two-level show lounge that's home to a live performance on each night of the cruise. Possible shows include singers, dancers, comedians, magicians and even game shows (that often include the participation of volunteers from the crowd). Also on board Rhapsody is a large casino, a full-service spa, fitness center, rock-climbing wall, jogging track, solarium (that has an indoor/outdoor pool and lounge area that can be covered), duty-free shopping boutiques, card room, library, photo gallery, and an internet cafe.
Of Rhapsody of the Seas' many bars and lounges, the Schooner Bar and Viking Crown Lounge are signature venues found on many Royal Caribbean ships as well. Among the ship's other bars and lounges are Moonlight Bay Lounge, the Champagne Bar, and Shall We Dance Lounge.
Guests of Rhapsody of the Seas are able to enjoy great dining options while cruising on this ship. There's a two-level main dining room (where guests can choose to be placed in an assigned or open, called My Time, dining format), the Windjammer Café (which has a large buffet), as well as 24-hour room service. |
